Title: '86 Savage rear fender removal Post by koiroy on 02/20/04 at 07:00:48 I am in the process of removing front and rear fender, gas tank and assorted metal covers in prep. for painting. I have seen some great paint ideas on the net and I am bored with the all black look. Seats are off and the chrome holder for the battery. I am at a loss to know how to remove the rear fender. There seems to be no logical place to start. All wiring connections are apart now. Do I have to remove the rear tire? I hope not. I have neither the knowledge or inclination for that unless its easier than it looks. Any help in this regard would be great. Also planning on a Jardine exhaust or perhaps a Raask. Is it very loud?? Thanks Roy. |

Title: Re: '86 Savage rear fender removal Post by Roy Bartell on 02/21/04 at 18:40:43 Thanks alot for the input gang. I will probably take off the rear wheel since it really doesn't seem that hard. I found a thread in a long ago post of a step-by-step removal of the wheel which I will follow to the letter. |
