Title: Flames Of Chrome... Post by gitarzan on 06/07/04 at 18:21:44 I painted my extension pipe betwixt the downpipe and the Harley muffler. It's now covered with bright 1200f orange muffler paint. I then got my new chrome flame heat shield today, and popped it over it. What do you think? The pic is a crappy cell phone image (sorry). http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gitarzan/bike/pic11.jpg Also, more chrome around the tag... http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~gitarzan/bike/pic16tweaked.jpg |

Title: Re: Flames Of Chrome... Post by gitarzan on 06/07/04 at 21:04:54 Thanks. It came from J&P Cycles. I placed the order on 6/3 and ut arrived today 6/7. Cheapest delivery method. Thumbs up for them. http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup.aspx?GID=01c01506-424c-4030-a171-ac59b7e12d8f&cs=metric I bent the flames up a little at the end to follow the contour of the Harley muffler. Otherwise I's suspect it would buzz as well not look as good. |

Title: Re: Flames Of Chrome... Post by gitarzan on 06/12/04 at 07:38:52 The high temp paint turned black, but it actually shows the flames better than the orange. Better contrast I guess. Still looks good. |
