Hey, I have a question thats kinda stupid, but is the front brake suspossed to work the brake light on the savage?

Yes - it should cause the brake light to come on - there is a switch that the brake lever causes to connect the circuit - located under the master cylinder. There are two wires that connect to it (wrapped as one). It's possible that your connections just need to be cleaned.
