Title: Sissy bar pad removal?
Post by koiroy on 07/04/04 at 15:31:38

::) Hi again everyone. Getting lots of riding time on my '86 these days. Just finishing off studding all the saddle bags and tool bags. Next will be the seats and the sissy bar pad. I cannot see a way to remove the pad since I need to remove the material off the frame to attach the studds. Anyone know whats involved?  Thanks alot and happy riding.  Roy.

There are 2 flat head screws underneath the "Suzuki" emblem on the back rest.  The emblem is held on with double sided tape....good stuff too, so pry it off gently.  Then get some more tape to re-apply the emblem (3 M tape is good).

Use dental floss to cut thru the double stick tape.
It will cut like it a chunk of cheese.
