Title: What's about vibration?
Post by Danielle on 07/25/04 at 08:40:34

:-/ I want to buy a Savage, it's my first bike and i'm 5 feet tall.  I heard about great vibration when riding that bike.  Is it true?

Actually the thing has a counterbalancing shaft in it that does its job quite well. Suprisingly well...

However what kind of great vibration were you looking for? :o

My KLX650(single cylinder)doesn't vibrate much but you need to be at least 6 foot to reach the ground!!!

There is a reason they are called thumpers.   :)

Actually it's just the pulse of the cylinder firing. It's not too bad, but plenty enough to make you know the engine is running
.

The Savage vibration is not bad, but it is sort of linear.  The higher the RPMs the more you get.  I don't really notice it until I'm doing 65-70 for an extended period.

It is counterbalanced pretty well and doesn't vibrate like the old paint shaker HDs.

Of course this all depends on how you answer Cphilip  ::)

Yeah but she said 1.6 cm which would put her at .649" . Now that would be a stretch to flat foot even a Savage. ;D
