Title: Boulevard's aren't just 650's Post by savagethumper on 07/28/04 at 09:40:19 I just got the new Cycle World mag, and the ad on the 1st page is for the new line of Suzuki cruisers called the Boulevards. The S40, S50, S83, C50, and C90. Elsewhere in the mag, they mentioned an M90, that's basically an Intruder1500. The bikes are offered in any color, as long as it is black. Just like the old model T's. |

Yeah, I probably saw the same ad in Rider mag. All the S models in a line under night lights. They can't hide a Savage heart under a new name though.....Just think, we all have collector's items ::) |

You get a good sense of scale. Of course, the diminutive Savage/S40 is last in line. I've owned the Marauder, an 800 Intruder, and a couple of LS650s, and the thumper (however they badge it) is still way more fun. |

That's my attitude about the tank on the 2000 models. The design is completely unique from all the other years for the Y2K Savage.....I did loose the side covers in my tinkering but I won't change the tank. While at a bike rally, I even had "Greg" painted on the rear of the fender in the same color and font style as the word Savage on the tank ::) |

There is a white option in this years S40. And it looks super in White... Far as I can tell the seats are the same with the deletion of the Sissy bar. And new handle bars as has been previously mentioned. Slight change in Mirror style to go with it. Someone mentioned there might be a feature that keeps the headlamp off untill it cranks for battery savings but not been proven out yet |
Title: Re: Boulevard's aren't just 650's Post by Savage_Rob on 07/29/04 at 08:23:05 Nope, the seat is a 1-piece instead of 2. |

Interesting.... Then that means you cannot remove the rear section any longer. Not certain thats a good idea.... |

And I would be willing to trade my sissy bar and trim, for the new style. I never have a passenger, so I wouldn't miss it. |
