Title: Anyone ride an S-40 yet? Post by Jon on 07/28/04 at 21:18:19 The bikes are appearing in the showrooms, so I was wondering if anyone has had a test ride? I'm curious if Suzuki has refined the clunky shifting, if there is now some EPA sag in acceleration, and if the new seat is more comfy than the Savage effort. |

ANYTHING has to be more comfortable. I love my thumper, but my rump is asking me for another bike. |
Title: Re: Anyone ride an S-40 yet? Post by Tony on 09/12/04 at 05:19:09 I have owned my S40 for about 1 1/2 months. I love the bike. The seat comments are accurate though. After about 1-2 hours you start to get fidgetty. I am considering ordering there new Gel Seat that is offered by Suzuki. |

The Savage gel seat is an improvement over the stock seat. Has the accessory gel seat changed for the BLVD/40? |
Title: Re: Anyone ride an S-40 yet? Post by Daemon on 09/16/04 at 02:45:29 I haven't ridden one yet, I was just at my local dealer today and was checking it out.... How are those straight handle bars? |

Post by Susan on 09/16/04 at 05:28:37 Anyone interested in this topic should check out two other topics, created by Jon after he got his S40: Bought a Boulevard S-40 (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=RubberSideDown;action=display;num=1091161670) More S-40 (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=RubberSideDown;action=display;num=1091863139) |
Title: Re: Anyone ride an S-40 yet? Post by Tony on 09/16/04 at 20:17:43 There apears to be a slight difference in the new gel seat. Asside from the fact that the new one is a single unit, it looks like the slope has been lessened slightly. I have not yet had the chance to try one out. I love the straight bars. It makes the bike really stand out and the handling is great (this from a new rider who has little to compare it to). I do find the bars to be a lot more comfotable to ride compared to my Yamaha xs650. |
