I am doing a flame job on my Savage and I've got every sticker off except for the Long Savage Emblem on each side of the gas tank. I've been using a heat gun but it's not working. It seems like they put that emblem on and then clear coated the tank. Please Help, flame graphics are arriving tomorrow!!

That emblem is under a coat of clear coat. Put away the heat gun, it's time for the heavy equipment :P

BTW - the logic here would be that stickers are held on by adhesive. If the emblem on the tank was the same, it would come loose after you accidentally overfilled your tank, and wouldn't that be a p**ser >:(

Heavy equipment? Paint stripper and sand paper.

considering the size of the tank and all, what is the difficulty factor of this operation?

The only way to remove the tank graphics is to wet-sand them off and respray the tank. Be sure to use a fuel proof paint such as acrylic lacquer with clear coat, or do it right and have it professionally painted.
