Title: Motorcycle Movers Post by Daemon on 10/17/04 at 09:06:08 I've got to move a bike from Murphy, Texas to Yakima, Washington... been going thru all the internet ads for motorcycle movers but thought I'd ask... Has anyone moved/shipped a bike and have a company to recommend? (bike is a 77 Harley XLCH-1000, 485 pds) thanks in advance |
Title: Re: Motorcycle Movers Post by Max_Morley on 10/17/04 at 11:17:46 I sold a smaller bike to a trials rider in TX and he ended up using Allied as I remember. They came to my door, strapped the bike on a 4 x 8 special pallet with soft straps around the frame parts, guides to keep the wheels from moving out of position, etc. I was impressed. Bike arrived in a few days in fine shape. Moses Lake to Seattle to LA to TX was the routing on it. I think you could save some money if you picked it up at the Seattle terminal as I'm sure the cost for the truck tractor trip over here wasn't pro-rated between loads. He was headed to Omak from here. Max im Moses Lake, WA |
