Title: Gallery? Post by gitarzan on 11/11/04 at 08:10:13 Hey, Susan! Is there any way to submit bike pix for the gallery? The existing gallery is just a bunch of pix from other sites, or so it looks to me. They're nice bikes, but they're not us, with few exceptions. And they've been the same 244 bikes since I've been coming around last March or April. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/gallery/pictures.pl Now that this site is rolling along nicely, I think there ought to be pictures of members rides. Either allow new submissions or just blow out all the old generic pix and start fresh with members only. OR create a members bikes gallery. Whatdya think? |

If John is willing and able to give me FTP access to a subdirectory on this site I would be willing to maintain a user picture gallery. Would be not that much work to maintain a page of 65x65 thumbnails of each user's bike (or avatar)(often the same) linked to an info (as much as each is willing to divulge) page with thumbnails of all of their pictures. |

Often people will upload photos, then "move on" to other bikes (why?) leaving them in the gallery to just take up space. Or they'll upload photos of someone else's ride just because they thought it was interesting....or even photos of tatoos and unrelated stuff. The nice part about this forum is that the conversation can stay focused on bikes...and having a "public" gallery can soon become cluttered with useless files...so it seems to me that photos would need to be submitted for "consideration" to be added to the gallery providing they are appropriate to post. That way it is fair to all. |

The numbers would match locations on the map, or we could lose the map. The photos would be FTP'd or eMailed to the Gallery Curator (who need not be a moderator.) |

Because I know a few of mine were in seperate threads but yet he found them and combined them under my name....A lot of work it was. But it seems he did it. |
