I have a probelm: Where do you lady riders put your stuff? I'd like to have something easily accessable to keep my license, money & phone in but it's a real pain to dig out of purse and put in saddlebage or tool bag each time I want to ride, and undoing the buckles and redoing each time drives me nuts. Then you have to transfer it all back. There's too much of me in my jeans to put it in a pocket! How do you handle it?

For that stuff, I either use jeans pockets or jacket pockets. However, I added a trunk (http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ProductDisplay/s-10101/p-3082/c-10111)(got it for $30 on eBay) to mine (http://savage.andruschak.net/savage_rob1.jpg). Some folks don't like the way a trunk looks and I must admit I think the bike looks best as bare as possible but I like the ability to have lockable storage... so I'll probably keep it until I can afford some Leatherlyke Saddlebags like Paladin has.

Thanks, I have a trunk but it's the same problem, girls have to have their stuff! Or anyway, I do. I have asthma meds, chapstick, sunshades & all sort of goodies that I need. The trunk has buckles that are stiff and then I have my hands full of stuff when I go in somewhere. The ideal thing would be a small purse type thing with velcro or an easy attachment so I could zip it off and carry with me.

They're a bit pricey, but for me definitely worth it. No buckles, no sag, roomy and things don't get crushed. Quick and easy access with a key on the same ring as the Gun's ignition key.

I don't have meds, shades, etc.; but I do have my Hat. Park Gun, open pannier, swap helmet and gloves for the Hat. If it was chilly the right hand pannier gets the scarf, down vest, whatever.

Left pannier's lid has a clear vinyl pocket stuck to it that holds registration and proof of insurance.

These were posted in the tech section, looks like you can just unzip a bag and take it with you - should hold enough stuff to tide you over ;)
TourMaster Nylon Saddlebags (medium) and matching fork bag. I love them! Good quality nylon and leather trim. The zip off feature will be great for overnight trips and velcro closure means no messing with buckles. Small enough for the savage but big enough to hold my half hemet.

I've been using a fanny pack with zipper pouches that clips onto the handle bars. Good for loose change and small stuff, when I leave the bike I just unclip the fanny pack and carry it. Ride Safe

I use a bicycle bag. It fits between the bars and the windshield and has elastic loops that I just wrapped around the turn signals. It comes off real easy since you just un-wrap it. I think it would work without the windshield since the loops are on the bottom so the wind can't lift it. You may just need to fasten it on top which you could do with velcro since it has a band of it across the top. Mine is a Rhode Gear black bag made of nylon.

For my stuff I have a handlebar bag the just zip ties. When the weather clears I will try to get a picture of it for you. I also have a small purse that loops through my belt that is very handy. On the Blast I have a tank bag that goes every where that I do. Ride safe. Kim

I just use my saddlebags (Willie & Max compact slant) and stick stuff in there or in my jacket pocket. The saddlebags can hold other things (like groceries or lunch or a rainsuit) in addition to a purse/bag.

i've been following the thread, and have had the same thoughts myself. at best i carry whats in my pockets.

I wear a black leather bikers vest. It's got the coolest deep deep deep inside pockets thats great for maps, cell phone, wallet, etc. It's deep enough that they won't bounce out.

Outside pockets are right for gum, candy, etc. (I'm diabetic - you never know when you gotta have some M&Ms)

A spare leather toolbag on the forks, for the same kinda stuff and I keep my bungee net and a screwdriver that fits my carb in there. Sometimes a bottle of H2O.

That's all I've ever needed. I've a set of cheepie soft vinyl saddle bags, they came with the bike, but I've never once had the need to use them.
