Title: Re: Where to find Decals Post by Savage_Rob on 03/18/05 at 00:44:19 CycleGraphics (http://www.cyclegraphics.com/) has removable, reusable vinyl graphics. Weston Signs and Decals (http://www.westonsigns.com/) has a lot of adhesive decals for both bikes and cages. ReflectivelyYours (http://www.reflectivelyyours.com/) has reflective decals for bikes, helmets, etc. I particularly like the stealth black that glows white when light hits it. You should also look at the Best Sources for Savage Parts (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1108508235) thread in the Technical Corner (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech) forum of this board. |

This is cool. I was thinking about doing something original on my helmet. Do you think it would work? Any opinion on whether the clear or the white would be better? |
Title: Waterslide Decals Post by Paladin on 04/05/05 at 08:22:26 Unless you have the one laserjet printer that prints white you will need the white paper to have any white. Unless you want nonwhite with the background color showing thru. Using the white paper means you'll have to carefully trim the decal before applying. I don't see why it shouldn't work. With an inkjet you have to clearcoat the decal before wetting and sliding; and I'm sure clearcoat after it dries on just as extra protection. You would be limited to what your printer can produce, meaning no metalics, pearlescents, etc.. |
Title: Re: Where to find Decals Post by WD on 04/05/05 at 08:43:47 Susan, any full line graphics shop that does tuner car decals can hook you up. If you don't go with Paladins' waterslide idea...now why didn't I think of that? -WD |
