Title: Handlebar Suggestions
Post by hellstorm on 03/25/05 at 10:28:17

I love the look of gitarzans Chubby T-Bars, but I was also thinking about pullback risers with a dragbar. The stock bars are just too cramped for me. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brian

I changed over to clubman style bars that I got at Dennis Kirk. They are 31 inches overall and have a 2 1/2 inch rise so I could use the stock risers. Really like them so far, plenty of room for my gorilla length arms and the grips are in a more natural position. ;D Didn't like the stock buckhorns handle bars at all. I was looking at the drag bar style but didn't want to buy new risers, on a budget. Must of spent hours checking out the pictures on this site before deciding what style to use. Ride Safe, Ed L.

the way the risers are set up, you can use two identical sized deep wall sockets inbetween the stock riser and vibration damper giving it more height. then a drag bar with a small rise. this will get it to the height you want.

That's a good idea.

(And if they're Craftsman, you can get them replaced if they ever break.  ;) )

I'm 6/3 and find my 32.5" bars comfortable.

The extra width on the clubman bars really made a difference in comfort and handling. Even a couple of inches helps a bunch.
