If a rider you know goes down, for good, on the bike, you are supposed to place a safety pin on a fellow rider's vest. When CB, a shop regular, got hit on his Panhead, Trinkets put one on my vest, along with the rest of the shop guys and the club riders. That was in November 95, all of us are still riding to some degree, none have gone down on a bike since. Since this is an informal club, if, whatever god/gods you believe in forbid, one of us takes the last ride, send them around. It works. -WD
