i myself am 5'11" and found that adding hiway bars with pegs helps. when riding with my feet on the pegs my knees are elevated above my hip and i tend to lean back which gives a stretch to the handgrips. others on these forums recommend raising the front of the seat an inch and using forward controls

i hear there is a new surgery that removes up to 4 inchs in you legs  two inchs from from the upper and lower bones...  should be a big hit.  ::)

I'm 5'10 and I lifted the seat fromt an inch and a half.  That helped a lot.  I tried to make a highway bar, but when I got it out far enough to be comfortable, I was darn near on the sides of the front wheel.  I don't do any cross country riding on mine, so what little stiffness I get from riding isn't too bad.

it's a common mod on stock seats. you raise the front of seat using spacers. gives you a more egrgonomic seating position.

I'm 6'2", or was before two back surgeries...

Contrary to everyone else, I lowered the seat height. Added 13.62" rise apehanger handlebars on the factory Savage risers. Like sitting in an easy chair now, especially since the modified seat has extra lumbar support versus the stock seat. You can see the bike on this page...look at Paladin's Poster's Picture Gallery, I am number 15a currently. Three pics of the bike that show the new seat/bar spacing and how the set up sits in relation to me standing next to it. For me, it is the perfect combo for around town, haven't tried any real rides with it yet. Works for me and my stepson, who also is 6'2".

I turned the risers around on my S40 so they curve forward & it helped a lot. I'm 6'1". I'm thinking about raising the seat some  'cause the footpegs are still a little too close. I may just put a gel-pad on the seat.
