Post by sunny on 04/27/05 at 08:25:56

so where are you all planning to ride this summer?

i'm planning a ride to tennessee to see some friends. while i'm there i might go to deal's gap just to make my boss angry (he's the BIG brother type).

i also plan on a trip to the coast.

I'm planning that...to Cadillac Mountain

I'm also planning some other in-state rides.  Maine is very large and most of it is rural, twisty, and lightly populated.

Some trips I have planned are:

Quebec City (Canada)
Cadillac Mountain (Acadia National Park)
Moosehead Lake (Baxter State Park)
Sebago Lake (On Golden Pond)
Old Orchard Beach
Bar Harbor - where I can catch the ferry to Nova Scotia

I might not make them all, but those are some of my options.  Sure wish my hubby would learn to ride...

if you cant make it to us, you just go on a ride to a "mountain" in your area. could be a hospital with the word mt in it.  that way we all get to go to a mountain.

Ah, Maine is such wonderful state, spent a couple years around Sanford, just over the state line. Is the gingerbread house still near Portland? I remember seeing it on the way to the shore a couple times. Do they still wear socks over the pantlegs during black fly season?, it was a survival technique not a fashion statement cause those little monsters would craw up you pants and draw blood where it hurt the most :o.
It's beautiful country for a Savage, lots of twisties, still miss it, enjoy.

Back and forth to work.
Pacific coast (two hours away).
Cascade Mountains (hour away).
Olympic Mountains (2 hours away).
Boy Scout camp, I'm an assistant scoutmaster.
If I can get the time off, I'd like to ride to Paladin's, Ed L's, Bluejeanz, and Suzy's corners of the world. I've got almost 4 years of downtime to make up for.
