I'm planning that...to Cadillac Mountain I'm also planning some other in-state rides. Maine is very large and most of it is rural, twisty, and lightly populated. Some trips I have planned are: Quebec City (Canada) Cadillac Mountain (Acadia National Park) Moosehead Lake (Baxter State Park) Sebago Lake (On Golden Pond) Old Orchard Beach Bar Harbor - where I can catch the ferry to Nova Scotia I might not make them all, but those are some of my options. Sure wish my hubby would learn to ride... |

if you cant make it to us, you just go on a ride to a "mountain" in your area. could be a hospital with the word mt in it. that way we all get to go to a mountain. |
Title: Re: Summer trips planned Post by Ed_L. on 04/27/05 at 19:27:20 Ah, Maine is such wonderful state, spent a couple years around Sanford, just over the state line. Is the gingerbread house still near Portland? I remember seeing it on the way to the shore a couple times. Do they still wear socks over the pantlegs during black fly season?, it was a survival technique not a fashion statement cause those little monsters would craw up you pants and draw blood where it hurt the most :o. It's beautiful country for a Savage, lots of twisties, still miss it, enjoy. |
Title: Re: Summer trips planned Post by WD on 04/28/05 at 00:00:51 Back and forth to work. Pacific coast (two hours away). Cascade Mountains (hour away). Olympic Mountains (2 hours away). Boy Scout camp, I'm an assistant scoutmaster. If I can get the time off, I'd like to ride to Paladin's, Ed L's, Bluejeanz, and Suzy's corners of the world. I've got almost 4 years of downtime to make up for. -WD |
