Title: Savage shuts down during ride Post by thedude on 05/27/05 at 05:20:14 My Savage 96 sometimes just shuts down for no apperent reason while riding. After awhile it'll start back up any suggestions to remedy this would be helpful. Thanks DB |

Not :P It does this when you are doing what? What does it do when this begins to happen? What do you do to get her to start again? |
Title: Re: Savage shuts down during ride Post by thedude on 05/27/05 at 06:20:09 When shut down accurs I'll turn the fuel valve on/off/on and this sometimes works. When full shut down I'll mess with the vent lines and the bike starts again. I don't believe its electrical. Seems like I'm not getting enough fuel. Any suggestions? |
Title: Re: Savage shuts down during ride Post by bentwheel on 05/27/05 at 06:38:45 It could be a fuel delivery problem. Try this. Set your fuel lever to prime and ride around to test if this ends your problem. If it runs fine on prime only, you have to check/change your vacum line and connections. Otherwise it could be a faulty petcock diaphragm. |
