Title: Wife needs prayers or such.
Post by WD on 08/28/05 at 23:45:53

Had to check my wife into one of the local hospitals Sundat afternoon. 8 hours and a CT scan later, the doctors decidedto check her in for a neuro consult/work-up.

Saturday she was fine. We went and looked at a potential bike for me, went to Wal-mart and did some shopping. She got light headed and started to lose motor skills going back to the truck. On the 4 mile drive home, she blacked out twice.

Symptoms perfectly mirror a mild stroke. Mild right side paralysis (foot, hand, side of mouth). She can walk, but not very far (or well). Whatever the diagnosis, we'll beat it.

So, if you believe in any form of god or gods, shoot a message that way for her. I'll be offline while we get this figured out. Will let you know how it goes. Her name is Lisa.

sounds a lot like bells palsy which can be very temporary and i've seen a lot of people recover from completely.  my 90 year old aunt had it really bad and is now back to 100% just a few months later.
good luck and be strong, my prayers are with you.

She called at 8 this morning. Doctor says it was in fact a full on stroke. Projects a nearly full to full recovery. Time for a certain family I know to quit smoking and get more exercise than trying to kickstart the dual sport.

I'm going to see her later this morning. I'll pass on everyone's thoughts and prayers to her.

When you need the strenth just ask him and he will help, I will pray for both you and your wife lisa, I seen a comment about your son, but did not catch a name, may God Hold you all in the palm of his hand, and let you feel his embrace at this a time of trial

In Christ
