Wanted everyone to know that I traded my S-40 in for a new S-83. It runs well. I think I just got a lemon when I bought the S-40. The dealership nor mechanics wanted to fix the problems. You guys in here helped me the most but in the end I guess that wasn't enough. This bad experience didn't help the image I got of the savage. I know it is a wonderful bike. I wish I could have experienced the feel too. I now own a S-83 1400 cc twin head. runs very well and a lot of fun. At least now you guys will get a break from all my complaining. LOL.

yeh u got a good bike now,im actually having the same trouble u were it sucks i cant get it to idle its bullsh!t.
thinking abuot tradeing it in for a sportster,

aw man torque u having trouble? It wont idle? Hmmm
does it start then die after u left off the throttle? die on deceleration? Gimme me a call and maybe i can pretend to help.

roughrider ... I'm real soory about your bad experience with the S-40 (Savage) ... and I wish you the best of luck with your new S-83 (Intruder) ... they are awesome lookin' Bikes and bullet-proof from what I hear ... and make great Customs!
If you're ever up to a Bike vacation in the "Far East of the Western World" look me up ... we've got some great vistas and rural roads up here!

The Intruder 1400 is a great bike. I had one before.It had straight fishtail pipes and it was properly jetted. Some guy from New Mexico came all the way to Phx to buy it. Latter he emailed me to thank me for the great bike.
