Title: Idaho Trip Post by Ronimac on 09/05/05 at 03:21:59 My nephew and I rode from the Twin falls area in Southern Idaho to Lewiston Idaho last week. We Left home on tuesday and returned on thursday . We spent tuesday and wed. night there leaving thursday a.m. to return home. We rode 465 miles each way a total of over 939 miles. I ride a 2005 S40 and my nephew rides a 1979 GS550L. I had some toruble with my bike on the way out and we found out that the tool kit isn't adequate to take the seat off. We finally got to McCall to buy some tools . We Then found out that a loose wiring connector was causing all my problems. We made the return trip with no further problems . It was quite a fun trip. The S40 was up to the task. |

Title: Re: Idaho Trip Post by methom on 09/05/05 at 05:05:31 I used to live in Idaho and know that route well! I'm sure that it was a nice ride. As for your problems, I had a connector come loose under the seat, too, and had the engine keep cutting out. I don't know if this is a chronic problem with these, or not. I plugged mine back in and put electrical tape around it, and haven't had any trouble since. I'll be the ride up to Sun Valley and Galena Pass would be awesome. ;) |
