Title: Carb Jetting Post by Tony on 09/05/05 at 19:05:37 My Sportster Muffler is on it's way and I was wondering where I should go to get the jet kit I need to make the changes. This is something I have never done before but want to attempt it. I have an 2005 S40. It has had the spacer reduced and the mixture screw adjusted, but it still seems to backfire often. I had a local shop do the work. I am hoping that after the new exhaust is in and the carb is rejetted and readjusted I will be better off. Am I on the right track with this? |

Title: Re: Carb Jetting Post by savage777 on 09/06/05 at 10:31:46 you really don't need a jet kit per say all you probably need to do is get a 152.5 0r 155 jet and put that in. with the sportster muffler they've got enough backpressure you shouldn't have to mess with the pilot jet..there is a million posts on this subject |
