I know Im cheap !!! But has anyone found an outlet for less expensive Pod Filters than the K&N RC1250 ?? Here they are $35 :o 2 1/4 in. opening....Thanx

Don't have any links but You could look at:-

Green racing, cotton pleated
Piper Cross, Foam
Ram Air, Foam

Foam are good if you have clearance probs, like the monoshock top mount on KLX.

I got my air sock, which I attached directly to the carb without the snorkel for 15.00 with shipping. Works great. 60mm opening.

Have a look at Unifilter foam filters. They are reasonably priced and actually filter better than a K&N. They are cleanable and reusable just like K&N.

So far we have two sizes of filter opening for the savage, so is it 57mm (2.25") or 60mm.Can you help ?
