Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by necropsy on 01/13/06 at 14:58:10 Eeeewwww!!! That's not what I hear when I ride. I usually have Anthrax's "Death Rider" going through my head. They think this song will sell bikes? If I had known before hand, this may have turned me off buying the bike. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Paladin on 01/13/06 at 15:48:58 I don't know about a boulevard song, but the Hondells' "My Little Bike" tends to bubble thru my head while riding. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by vroom1776 on 01/13/06 at 16:00:19 Pretty lame. I'm all for Judas Priest while riding, espescially "Killing Machine" and "Running Wild." Social Distortion is good, too, espescially "Boulevard" and "Sick Boy." Running Wild lyrics: move as fast as I can I like to get around I'm crazy like a madman My feet don't touch the ground I move amongst the night life And they just step aside Cause when they see me coming They know I'm running wild Dead or alive there's nothing That bothers me at all I take on all comers They back off or they fall They raise their hands to stop me I laugh and I defy Cause what's the point in living Unless you're living wild No chains can hold me down I always break away I never hear society Tell me what to do or say I taste the life that pleases me And raise a storm for all the world to see I never stumble, never fall Never stop for rest I rebel but I walk tall And I demand respect I move amongst the nightlife And they just step aside Cause when they see me coming They know I'm running wild I'm running wild I'm running wild Get outta my way I'm running wild I'm running wild You better believe it Sick Boy lyrics: Sick-boy, in his faded blue jeans Sick-boy, black leather jacket scene Sick-boy, he's always in trouble With the law don't ya know... Sick-boy, he carries a switchblade knife, Sick-boy, likes to get into fights. Sick-boy, he'll go drinkin' With the boys all night long. [Chorus:] Sick boys-ohwayoh Sick boys-nananana Sick boys Sick-boy, rides a big motorbike, Sick-boy, combs his hair up just right. Sick-boy, with tattoos up and Down his arms, don't ya know... Sick-boy, he's got a girl wrapped around his arm, Sick-boy, with his street-like charm. Sick-boy, he'll make love to her All night long, don't ya know... If this is too long, let me know and I'll kill most of it... or you mods can do it! Whatever. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by vroom1776 on 01/13/06 at 16:02:57 Death Rider lyrics: Riding hard, high in the saddle Winged steed of unwearing flight Sweeping through air just like fire Swift of the foot, great of might Hear the screams Feel the bite We ride with death Tonight Here it comes You better hide Shoot the guns You're gonna die Conquering all, spreading terror Hoofs gallop in thunderous pound Devouring the souls of the wretched Trampling them down to the ground Gripping the reins of destruction Made of steel on his hands Holder of forces immortal Slaughtering all in his path Sounds like one of the monsters Judas Priest sings about! Couldn't find the Hondell's song... |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by sluggo on 01/13/06 at 16:04:43 i got no problem with it, as long as posters don't use it in a quote. hint hint hint. foghats slow ride pops up alot for me, even though i'm usually doing 80 at the time. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Ed_L. on 01/13/06 at 16:35:26 It's a shame Suzuki is sooo far off base with that song, makes you wonder what age group they are trying to attract. I usually have Deep Purple's "Place in Line" running through my head while riding. Another one that I like to hum is "Going up the Country" by Canned Heat. Could always pull a Richard Petty and sing along with the engine rpms while biting down on a towel :D. The song of a big thumper is sweet music to my ears. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Savage Librarian on 01/14/06 at 08:54:17 You know, that's still not the worst I've heard in relation to motorcycles. I walked into one of the local Yamaha shops and nearly ran back out again. They had one of those boy bands playing. You just don't expect/want teenie-bopper pop playing. Kinda ruins the feel, methinks. As for what's in my head? "Freebird" or "Red, White, and Blue" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Occasionally Motly Crue, the Cult, or Steppenwolf. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by barb36jack31 on 01/14/06 at 15:49:47 I'm nearly 75 and I'm afraid I don't recognise any of the songs you folks are talking about. Guess I'll just have to listen to the Sweet Suzie Single sing her own song! Keep on thumping! Jack H. |

Spike Jones would be using the Savage as a musical instrument. Talk about a strong backbeat. |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Savage_Rob on 01/19/06 at 07:56:05 Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild or Magic Carpet Ride are cool. Foghat's Slow Ride is quite good also. I'm a fan of Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell and Golden Earring's Radar Love. |
|
Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by LondonThing on 01/19/06 at 08:44:32 Magic Carpet Ride DEFINATLY cool! However being a tad younger, I quite like the FatBoySlim re-mix of it :P Call me what you will, but hey, its funky!! |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Savage_Rob on 01/19/06 at 08:58:34 Since reading Sluggo's mention of Foghat, I've had Fool For The City playing in my head. |

Maybe they removed the link out of embarrassement? I tried Mozilla and IE and couldln't find a link in the "bottom right." However, It doesn't surprise me that I'm not the first to bring up cycle songs. The one I linked to was more of the "listening to at home" rather than "riding down the road." John |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by svr on 08/16/06 at 19:09:09 I suggest Slayer's "Angel of Death" and Iron Maiden's "The Trooper". Just strap it on tight, first! |

Title: Re: The Boulevard Song! Post by Island_Biker on 08/17/06 at 08:36:17 I am currently listenting to "The Boulevard Song" as I type - if I can stay awake long enough to finish. Sounds more like a lullaby than a riding song. I was a teenager in the 70s, so it's Steppenwolfe, CCR, Meatloaf, Sabbath, Zeppelin for me. |
