i am thinking about a set of ape hangers on my 2000
about an 8-10"rise where can i get new cables a wires from and i guess brake line/hose thanks for all the help u can give oh by the way dose it matter if the center of the bar have to have grip on it or can it be smooth ???

I while back I tried looking for cables to fit ape hangers with about a 12" rise. I forgot, but I think it was Barnett Cables, that someone suggested trying. Anyways, ordering custom cables was just too much work and complication for my lazy self so I went with ape hangers with about a 71/2" rise (if I measured correctly) and they fit with the stock cables. The only thing I had to do was reroute the the throttle cable and wires to behind the fork.

I bought it from a used bike parts shop. That's why I'm not really sure of the brand and measurements.

Any 1" dia will fit the Savage/S40.

Search E-bay or you local scrapyard.
