Title: Installed 7in Harley Headlight Post by USCG Cremeans on 03/25/06 at 14:49:04 I got a 7 in. Harley headlight and put it on the savage yesterday, i think it looks a lot better, here are some pics: Install was a breeze, just drilled a new hole and hooked up the three wires. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e12/jcbass7/Suzuki%20Savage/14.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e12/jcbass7/Suzuki%20Savage/9.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e12/jcbass7/Suzuki%20Savage/30.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e12/jcbass7/Suzuki%20Savage/4.jpg |

Title: Re: Installed 7in Harley Headlight Post by caruso81 on 04/20/06 at 21:12:18 Stupid question....I am replacing a headlight with a Drag Specialties headlight. How did you know which of the Suzuki wires to attach to your new headlight wires. The replacement light has no labels. I know which is which on the Suzuki, but it uses different colors. Black to black, I guess, but I wonder how good trial and error on the other two wires would be for the bike. Thanks, Wayne Crannell |

Title: Re: Installed 7in Harley Headlight Post by WD on 04/22/06 at 21:17:44 Unhook your headlight pigtail block from the back of your stock bulb. The block is labeled as to which wire runs what circuit. Easiest way? Plug your stock harness onto the back of the new headlight bulb. If need be, pop one wire at a time out of the block, feed into the headlight bucket, and reconnect to the block. That's how I installed my 5.75" bottom mount headlight. Metal of course, since my tool roll ate the stock bucket, and the wreck tore off the Rebel headlight I had on there. -WD |
