I'm having battery problems. Would like to know what kind of batteries you all have in your bikes and how well do they work. Lokking for the best bang for my buck.

There is supposed to be one of those (any position) dry batteries in our size but last time I checked locally they did not have them. In any case buy one that hasn't been sitting for years and is dry charged (ie you or the shop put in the electroylte) not one that has been filled and sitting around. Max

After years of issues with batteries (didn't stay charged, removing battery to fill water level, bad cells,...), I finally went with a maintenace free battery - well worth it. This is the type I got for both my bikes. Anyone want the 3 cores I have sitting in the garage? :)

Just put this one in about a month ago: http://motorcyclebatteriesusa.com/battery-details.asp?battery=278 and perfect fit. I think you can get this same battery from BikeBandit.com for a few bucks less. If member of AMA you will also receive a small additional discount.

In any case, I think the way to go is maintenace free.
