I read all the posts about the two black hoses coming from the carb and going nowhere. One post said they could be capped off with rubber caps. Is that really the case?

On my other bike, when I removed the CA emissions crap, I capped off one of the nipples on the carbs, but I don't know if this bike was a CA model and these are there for the same reason.

Nobody seems to REALLY know what those pesky little hoses are for, but I would rather cap them off if I can.

Any feedback?

They are vent lines for the bowl...do not cap them.

I wouldnt cap them off because they are vent tubes. Mine were put into a hole in the frame above the carb. You definitely do NOT want them lower than the carb either.

I have mine routed in front of and below the bat. box.. I have 3 tubes hanging .... 2 carb vents and the bat. vent... There better not be any fuel comming out of the tubes or something is wrong...
