Your problem is to solve a very lean over heating condition in order to make the engine survive longer. A lean backfiring engine is death sentence to the heads. My solution to your condition is a spacer mod, K&N drop in filter, iridium plug, and a sporster muffler. BTW what year is your savage?? |

Title: Re: Hey Y'all Post by Keith_B on 05/27/06 at 22:18:05 Thanks I did the carb mods and the drop in K&N. it came with a Jardin pipe. seat will be on my to do list, I've got a set of KONI shocks NOS I'll be adding also. oh yes and a used cam to send to Webcams later on to go with a VM38 mik.I all ready have. Title: Re: Hey Y'all Post by Joni F. on 05/28/06 at 04:02:53 Hi, I am a new motorcycle owner and I am concerned about how I am learning to ride on my Savage. What about riding for a half hour or so at speeds less than 40 mph? Will this hurt my engine? |

Title: Re: Hey Y'all Post by Joni F. on 05/28/06 at 08:08:25 Thanks for the reply. Have soiled diapers really been hurled at you? I have another question for you and/or the moderator. How can I register on this site? I have tried three times to register. Every time I try to log in, I get wrong password. Then when I try to have my password sent to me, it never comes. Or, I get user name is already used. I really am not stupid but I feel like it. What does YABB mean? |

Title: Re: Hey Y'all Post by Keith_B on 05/29/06 at 08:38:58 Have soiled diapers really been hurled at you? Well I think the ansewer to that is, people don't hurl things at you because you ride a bike, they just don't care that you are there on a bike. Did you know that some 18wheeler drivers urinate in a zip lock baggie and hurl it out the window so they don't have to stop driving. I found that out about 20 years ago, puts a whole new meaning to, PASS WITH CARE! We can't be seen! Thats what the guy that turned left and hit me broard side 2&1/2 years ago said. He got a ticket for $95.00, I LOST MY LEFT LEG! BE CAREFULL OUT THERE YOU ARE INVISABLE! |
