Title: Re: Installed drag bar! Post by STLBrown on 06/08/06 at 18:32:15 Looks good. From the pics it looks like you installed that bar without any risers. Is it going to hit the sides of the tank? This is the look I want as well and I would be very happy not to have to buy any risers. Thanks, CB |

Title: Re: Installed drag bar! Post by Redfire_05GT on 07/06/06 at 22:02:53 How much actual difference is there between those drag bars and the stock bars? The center spacing looks wider and the angles look a little different. How does the overall width compare? http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/5020/stockhandlebars001medium4av.jpg |

Title: Re: Installed drag bar! Post by Veritas on 07/07/06 at 18:36:54 Redfire, I believe he has a Savage, not a S40. If they are stock, you can tell be his turn signals. Savage ones are rounded, not bullet-like. Yeah, I sat on a savage with the stock bars and I have to say I like the comfort of the bars on my S40 much better. Yours look great! |

Title: Re: Installed drag bar! Post by sstankus on 08/08/06 at 12:16:47 Looks good. I added the same to mine this weekend. Forgot the bar weights, but I don't notice any difference (yet?). To solve the turning radius issue, I just canted the bars up a pinch. Turn the wheel to the left, cant bars up, tighten a bit, turn to right and check. If it doesn't hit the tank, tighten 'er up and you're good to go. I don't feel quite as cramped as I did before. -Ride safe 8) |

Title: Re: Installed drag bar! Post by Savage_Rob on 08/08/06 at 13:38:42 Yup, I like the drag bars too. Mine are 36", on pullback risers, filled with BBs and have Kuryakyn ISO grips. Very comfortable. http://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2006/07/25/bikepics-641550-800.jpg |
