I fill mine to F/30 R/34 - and check them at least weekly

I also run 30 psi in the front and 34 psi in the rear.

What Metzler is telling you is the maximum tire pressure for rating purposes. You should never have a large enough load to need that much carrying capacity. If you do, you are probably far beyond the bike's carrying capacity. Stick with bike's specifications. If you weigh between 150# and 250# consider somewhere between the solo and 2 up pressures on the bike. I'm currently heavier than that so I qualify for 2up spec's all by myself.

I'll fiddle around with the air pressure and see how acts - hope it doesn't make them last longer - the last set went nearly 20k miles - get tired of looking at them by then!
