Title: Clutch lever common to many Zooks?
Post by MacAttack on 08/11/06 at 10:36:02

!!@%$%@@$% sidestand! :-X
Bike fell down, broke ball off clutch lever... I'm presuming my dealer has one in stock.
Anyone had to buy one? If my dealer DOESN'T have it, perhaps I'll have to add some chrome levers. Hmmm.

Thanks! Mac

Good luck with you stealer having one in stock, most stealers don't stock parts, they order them when we need one!  >:(

It is the same as an 800 Marauder lever.

And I have a couple dozen of them. Plain is $7.95 plus shipping. New in the package. Chrome? Yeah right...not from my shop...

be carefull  you can get a non-chrome one and send it out to be chromed for less then you can buy a chrome one. that is what I did and found it cheaper.. wd price is good and I think it was $10 or less to have chromed

Sure enough, the stealership employee said, Not in stock - sorry! and they would have charged me $18 for it if they DID have it. I went to Bikebandit (I'm an AMA member).

Even with the AMA discount BikeBandit offers, they're often higher priced than merchants like RonAyers.com.  It never hurts to compare anyway.

Since my wrenching days are few and far between- how hard is it to replace the levers? The wide ones sound interesting. Is the configuration of them closer in to the grip? Although I have large hands for a woman, my reach isn't as wide as I'd like. I usually clutch with two fingers stretched out ;D
