Hi All,
I need to get a replacement cable. It is the cable which runs from the brake pedal along the frame to the brake light plunger switch. I.E This is the cable that makes the brake light come on when you hit the skids.

I tried for the best part of half an hour to explain this to the nuffy in the spare parts shop and no matter what I did, drew or said this bloke did not understand me and made out like I was the idiot. Is there a better name for this part? I have the non-clymer manual at home, do you spose there is a pic in there I can take in to show Mr Einstein? I will take the bike with me next time I go, but I need all the info I can get cos I dont want to have to go through it for half an hour again.

P.S the cable was completely missing when I bought my bike.

should be easy enough to look up on ron ayers or crotchrocket.com - that would give him a picture and the partnumber

well of course it's on the handlebar fiche for the rear stoplite cable - where else would it be!

don't see the little spring listed - but that maybe on the swing arm fiche!

Huhm! Clutch cable is there but where is the part #. OKay I'm confused now ???

don't know - I was on crotchrocket.com it's listed like this (for an 86)
