Title: engine rebuild Post by mekyjesy on 08/18/06 at 09:09:46 I was wondering, I am in need of a new engine for my 95 Savage being that my piston exploded! First of all, does anyone have a spare 650 engine to sell? Next, the inside of the cylinder isn't too awful scored. Where can I get an oversized piston to fit it if I bore it out? The valves are kinda beat, but they might work. My hope is to find a used engine to put in there to save all the time, but I believe that can get very expensive. Thanks. |

Title: Re: engine rebuild Post by vroom1776 on 08/18/06 at 09:41:08 Junk yard! and ebay! Wiseco makes oversized pistons. You can also send out the cyl to Boretech, have it rebored, and ceramic coated. Lancer has done this, so look for some of his old posts ont he subject. May also consider a cam regrind. Should be able to get valves, ect. from Bikebandit.com or ronayers.com, or you local dealership. V |
