Title: K&N Conical Filter Install Post by jmerry on 12/11/06 at 16:20:09 Is it necessary to remove the entire airbox to install a K&N conical filter? Or can you leave the body of the box intact? Just seems like alot to remove to install the filter. If the box is totally removed, where are the side plates then mounted? Any comments are greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! |

Title: Re: K&N Conical Filter Install Post by SAMM on 12/11/06 at 17:46:22 Go to (Show us your Ride) and look at the first bike pic. It has the filter your talking about and yes You loose the mounting brackets for the side covers... It has a dif bat box cover because the original was missing when I bought the bike..... Some people move the bat box back to fill in the wide open space... Ck it out ! O and if you remove the air box you have to figure out some other filter for the crankcase ( note blue filter at the front of tank)... |
