Title: Savage Trunk. Post by john1652 on 01/26/07 at 15:33:53 Has anyone used that "trunk" that's advertised on e-bay? goes behind your plate and holds like your registration and some little stuff. Or what do you use to hold that paperwork. I hate carrying my wallet and it's just a pain in the arse," thats british for ass" to open and close saddle bags all the time. I saw a really cool holder thing at J&P but it was like 100 bucks or something. You really need to carry that stuff around but where?????? john |

What about one O those things the kids put pencils in, in their 3 ring bunders. Can you cut one down & put a ziplokk bag in it? Tie wrap it up behind the plate? Doesn't take much of a sewin machine to handle that stuff. Surely you can waterproof what ya put in . |

Title: Re: Savage Trunk. Post by DianeS. on 01/26/07 at 17:48:26 Not sure how many papers you carry, but I put my school stuff (I teach) into my saddle bag. Then, I carry my credit cards, and pertainant docs (ownership etc) in a small ziplock baggie which slides into my leather jacket pocket. Then, I use my other two side pockets for keys, kleenex and things that I might need to grab quickly. My jacket has a special cellphone pocket inside for my phone. |

Title: Re: Savage Trunk. Post by Fido_the_Cat on 01/26/07 at 18:12:34 There is also the travel pacs they use for traveling, going thru airports. Has a place specifically for your license and then a pouch for your other docs. Has a lanyard to go around your neck. I just keep it with the helmet and jacket. that way I always have it. Thinking of getting a second license next time so I can have one in the pouch and one in my wallet. |

Title: Re: Savage Trunk. Post by DianeS. on 01/26/07 at 19:44:25 Ha John 1652 - your comment made me laugh. No I don't suddenly grab a kleenex or my phone while I'm driving, not that I could even hear my phone with my jardine!! ;D Plus, have you ever tried to blow your nose with a FF helmet and glasses on? I find it very awkward. Oh and before you ask: yes, I do lift the visor beforehand - lol. I also notice that when I'm almost at work (an hour a way) is when my nose will suddenly start to run - how inconvenient is that!!! |

Title: Re: Savage Trunk. Post by Jimsey67 on 01/26/07 at 19:52:23 I keep my registration, insurance card and my moto license in a ziplock neatly tucked behind my tools on the side of the bike in the tool box. It works well and is locked so no one can get to it without the key. Jimsey67 |

I do the same, insurance and registration in a ziplock under the locked toolbox cover. For my lunch and other junk, I use the glove bag (see pic under my name) |
