Title: fuel line
Post by albb6 on 01/28/07 at 17:41:10

I was planning on putting an auxillary fuel tank on my bike and I can't seem to find the diameter of the fuel line listed anwhere. Any ideas? Anyone?

Questions go in the "rubber side down" section. But here you go.

Off beat measuments and sizes (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1166804153)

1st post, 4th item down

I knew that thread would come in handy sooner or later.

http://www.tourtank.com/ This is the site. I'm gonna go with the 2.25 gallon. Unless I decide to go with the 2.0 gallon because it looks more like a bedroll. If I go with the 2.25, I will try to design some sort of cover for it. I'm not gonna do anything until the spring so I may change my mind several time before that. If I do anything, I'll post some pics.

Not bad.  And if you aren't using it, you've got a spare beer keg :)

I haven't looked at the TourTank site recently but there used to be a few images someplace on the site of Da Queen (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=;action=viewprofile;username=Da_Queen)'s LS650 with a TourTank mounted on it.

Seems they took down the pics of her bike. She had the 2.0 gallon model on hers. Looked like it fit pretty good.

If you do the petc0ck conversion, you can use 1/4" line and run it to the vaccum port on the stock carb.  Of course, as previously noted, you'll need a separate shutoff valve for that line.
