I have a Carb Problem that I thought I had gotten rid of. Heres how it started I was riding along on the highway and it started to sputter and then without warning it stopped. after sitting on the side of the a minute or two I started up and went on about my buisness only for it to happen again. I cleaned the carb there was alittle gunk build up,and checked the petc0ck:it was clean. I put everything together and it happened again. I have even added an in line filter. I know that this was discussed before but I could not find it. Sorry but could someone help please.

stock carb? sure it's not a loose battery connection? does it make a difference if the petc0cks in PRI, RUN, or RES?

What condition is the fuel tank screen in? I removed mine when I installed an inline filter.

Thanks vroom I didnt even think about the vacuum hose. it was bad. had a small hole at the top part of it.

Glad that's fixed. I had the loose negative syndrome once, luckily I always have rubberbands on my wrist. Rubberbanded the negative cable to the post, lol.

Theres a spring inside the slide, pushing it down.

Thats the problem it is clean I just cleaned it and it still is dragging more than i think it should

might use fine grit like 1000 - and no oil on it right?

I would most likely pop the top off & pull the spring, so I could tell just how the slide moves. If it is hard & thers no spring, it's the slide..
