Title: Adjusted brake pedal stop - much safer now
Post by spotrot on 04/07/08 at 18:13:44

Maybe I'm not bendy, but I couldn't bend my ankle enough to ride comfortably with my toe over the pedal. And the extra time it took to pick my foot up, move it over, and find the pedal to brake didn't seem like the safest procedure.

So I found there was enough adjustment to loosen the cable and run the stop-bolt in enough to lower the pedal an inch or so. Then it took all the adjustment on both the brake light switch and its cable to make sure the brake light didn't stay on or come on too soon. Now I can ride with my foot right over the brake pedal.

I'm sure many experienced forum members know this already, but thought it might be of interest to other non-bendy newbies.

Spotrot,
Not just forum members but bikers in general.

I once had a Honda that the PO shifted with the back of his boot.  Can you envision what he did to the gear shift lever so it was comfortable for him???    :P    When I test rode it I thought "what the heck" (well maybe not "Heck") ....  then he explained and I thought "nut case....."

Ten minute fix....

Welcome,..... enjoy the ride.... ride safe  8-)
