Which bolts need to be removed? For the life of me I can't remove that allen wrench screw to get my stupid seat off and I figure if I remove the sissy bar i'll have some more room to work with. The allen wrench screw is stripped beyond belief now but I got those craftsman bits that are reverse threaded drill bits which I hear work well.

I'm at my wits end and what doesn't help is I'm not mechanical at all. If I could get this darn seat off I could replace my dead battery.

I even have a tow set up from the dealership for tomorrow so I can be back on the road.

Back pad..... Remove the Suzuki logo (it's stuck on with double sided tape. Then loosen the two screws.

The Bar, I haven't removed mine, but I know there is at least a screw/bolt on the bottom (each side) and a bolt from the side on each also.

I hope you realize the battery is not under the seat. It's located behind the tool kit. The connections are easier to get to with the seat off but it can be changed without removing the seat. It's a real PITA with the seat on......

Success,,,the battery wasn't taking a charge so i'm going to pick up a new one. should be up and running soon.

Technically it is under the seat, but like you said, that ain't how you get to it. (just thought I would be a smart a$$) ;) ;)

TMack- What kind of luggage rack is that? I really like the look of that. The OEM one looks so flimsy. And is overpriced.

It's a '70's Honda CBxxx universal rack. I was told it's from a CB750 but saw it listed for CB650, CB550.

It's strong enough to lift the back end of the bike up. Now if I was still young and strong enough to hold it up in the air it might serve me some good. As is, it's great for errands and holding my back-pack.
