Title: This bike rips! Post by sharp21 on 07/30/08 at 15:00:51 We traded the wifes honda Rebel for an S40 a few days ago. She wanted something heavier & more powerful for the highway, but still small enough to handle easily, being a pretty tiny girl & all... darn what a difference! I was doing 130kms & I waved her past, she blew my doors off! And once she hits second in town forget about it! Where she used to cruise around at 10km under the limit, now she is charging at 20 over! My bike still holds the edge, but im going to have to start looking at big bore kits... What is the HP & Tq ratings for the S40? Im having trouble finding them, but being a thumper Ill bet that the torque is high. S. |

Title: Re: This bike rips! Post by T Mack 1 on 07/31/08 at 07:12:59 I went from Honda 250 to the LS650. Mine was the first year of the 250 twinstar engine, 1982 CM250C Custom. Yes, the difference rates a "WOW". :o The next WOW will be when you get to the point of tuning the carb (rejetting & white Spacer Mod). It will wake your S40 up even more..... also help make it run cooler..... |

The backfiring is a lil un-nerving... Ill be searching for a pipe while stuck out here & have all the stuff waiting for when I get back. S. |
