I still check in, hoping for some amusing goodies from Gort or Serowbot, but pretty much skip the rest. This is an open forum, and anything goes. Post whatever you want, anywhere you want. |

As it is though...its just some guy that no one has any known connection to jumping in at random to act like an a$$ for no apparent reason. And it isnt even "this is why Im mad and why you're wrong". Heated arguements like that have taken place here that were no less disruptive and it evetually calmed down and was worked out or members agreed to disagree. This instance though is just "you're an idiot, and a loser, and a f*g, and now Im going to switch my name and say all the same things over again". Doesnt make sense. |

This member may be posting most of the time using sloppy folksy English while using his real Handle, and then using proper English when hiding behind a fake name, in order to mislead. 6. He violated every rule of the Forum, and was first to use highly descriptive sexual attacks and sexual obscenities, without deletion by the moderators. He therefore has their approval and cooperation. It is reasonable to conclude that he has been a member for at least 2 years, acting alone or helping a less able malcontent. I don't know who is doing this crap & don't really care. I find the rantings of a lunatic don't have any real effect on my life. Now, if this idiot wants to add me to his list of people to insult, that's just fine by me. It will only become a REAL problem if he shows up at my door. BTW, I vote for HIM to "leave the island'. I did see the request for funds and I did see the allegations of contradicting herself but I didnt read too deeply into it. Having had mental issues in the past myself I was sympathetic to a point. Its easy for someone with depression and anxiety to contradict themselves or even become so confused in your own life that one thing said is just as true as the opposite. Im not saying what you did was the wrong thing necessarily ( i geuss I did say that but it wasnt quite what I meant) but that it was done in an agressive manner that can be very damaging and less than productive to one who is mentally ill. The result could be (and I think ended up being) vengeful outbursts, or worse. Even if you were entirely wrong I certainly wasnt sending any money. No one sent me any money when I went nutty. Basically, I dont think she was a scam artist. Just messed up. And I dont think that she shouldve asked for money. I also think the situation was a lot of gray and no black and white and that it couldve been handled more tactfully by all those involved. Kind of irrelevent at this point but I wanted to explain myself. Hopefully we've got no bad blood between us now. Different perspectives is all. |

I might just remember seeing their posts reading way back which I tend to do come winter. My geuss is whoever owns this site and pays for it to operate has it taken out automatically from their account and maybe stops in every now and then to make sure the place is still active. The site's been here a good while. People's priorities change. I dont think the official mods hang around much anymore and didnt bother to pass along the position when they drifted off. The "mods" anymore pretty much include maybe a dozen people who've been here long enough and done enough with this bike to have authority in what they say because they know what they're talking about and have contributed to the community. Thats Old Feller, Lancer, Verslagen, Bill 67, Paladin, Mick, Gort, Ed L, John_D, Serowbot, Jerry Eichen-something and a few others I cant think of right now. IMO. The forum has a unique blend of personalities that tends to keep everything in balance for the most part. Very tribal and very successful thus far. |
