That being said...I havent seen the notorious exmember either. If gort doesnt want to come back I dont blame him, but if thats his choice, and his removal coincides with the removal of the other guy I can live with that. I hope he does come back eventually, but ... Mick - It does no good pointing out flaws of others. Sluggos alleged addictions (via you) arent anyones business anymore than Gorts alleged perversion (via the irritating ex member). Very personal subjects. Low blow. Finger pointing doesnt do much good either. Justins been accused, Ive been accused, It was suggested that gort did the whole thing himself, the moderators have been accused, Verslagens been accused, etc etc. We still dont know who was purposefully causing ire. Lets just hope its finally over with. Also curious as to how its not for the mods to censor or remove posts by virtue of the 1st amendment (according to sluggo) but removing members is alright? Dont brush your teeth to keep them from rotting, just yank them out after they rot? |

His IP address was probably blocked, this means he cannot connect to the site at all from his house/work, only from other connection points under a different name or as a visitor. Using proxy privacy tools and a new account he can connect again with ease, hope he is still interested cause it seems a quite large majority wants him here and all seems to be a distasteful joke and/or weird misunderstanding, jeez. I don't know the full story, and only read some of the crap. I hate to judge, and I do believe Gort was trying to defend himself, but he did nothing to help himself. He kept bantering back when he could have just ignored it all, or at least handled it differently. I know that's hard to do, but look what happened as the alternative. I personally got sick of reading it, and I hope its all gone for good. I do think Gort had good contributions to this site where the motorcycle is concerned, so in that respect, I'm sorry he's gone, but I'm thinking this is for the best. Sorry. |

I'm checking in after a couple weeks sitting in a hotel room in Iowa and just read this about Gort. Granted, he is a freaking wacho along the lines of Mick and a few others in here, but I can't abide by censorship. Last I checked, we were all adults right...... Gort needs to be allowed back and the idea of censoring content needs to be done away with, period. As Chevy Chase says in Caddyshack, "This isn't Russia, is it Danny?" The Cafe is kinda like a bar, no one under 21 allowed and no crybabies either. Who ever that mystery guy is needs to go play with himself if he's got nothing better to do. |

So much talk about what is approptiate and what is not, I find it hard to swallow that the issues of sswatchdawg does not seem all that important to the mod/s. And the mysterious result of having member/s banned..the way I see it, sswatchdogs posts should all, always be immediately removed, and someone in charge of this forum should be chasing down the member/s who are unable to post here, and rectifying that situation. Until this happens, I will suspect that the admin/s or moderator/s are involved...or at the very least don't give a crap. Who runs the backup forum? Because personally, I miss Gort, and I wonder if that may be a safe place for us ALL to hang out? |

Came withing an hour of a full blood transfusion once, because of some roach spray. It all Screwed me up bad & my memory sux now. I am able to remember where I put things & I know what happened, usually, but the "what happened first" thing throws me pretty bad.Ahh, but whats 17 hospitalizations in 20 years, anyway? As for the pics,, I dont need to run show my stuff off to a bunch of people who can look at a pic of another one real easy.. theyre online, go have alook & see what theyre about. I dont have to have a show & tell about everything in my life I think is cool.But, IF I was gonna take pics & post them, Instead of a bike, Id probably post pics of the backhoe, shop & the stuff in there. I did a few pics, once, of a project I had done. It was a hassle & Ive forgotten how I did it, didnt enjoy the learning curve & dont plan on going there again.. Your memory seems to be fading Mick, cuz I explained that before., |
