I'll bet that ticket costs the guy more the value of the bike in lawyer fees and fines...
... just shows how inappropriate these modern crotch rockets are for street use...
...sure, you don't have to go 170, just 'cause it can,... but then why by it?... that's all it's really built to do...

Sorry bot, just an assumption. We've all done our share of things in the past! You'd never know it to see me now, but I used to jump out of planes, compete in Karate tournaments and climbed tanks and pole scaffolds for a living. Now I'm just an old dog scowling on the porch! (but I still like to fly, climb and, occasionally, scrap!) ;D

Nice to know you had sense even back in 03.. I myself have no desire to go that fast either.

Heck I felt good when I got my girl up to 80 and brought her back down to 65 shortly after.

It would be interesting to know just how much that ticket cost him.

That's why I won't ride/own a crotch rocket. I know that the first thing I would do on one is open the throttle. LOL! I don't need to get myself into trouble.

Had trouble reading the handwriting and don't understand the laws state side but 170 for a 2001 Triumph... That's one quick Trumpet.... ;)
