Title: Big Brother and Little Sister :) Post by EJID on 06/12/10 at 21:58:47 Finally had a chance to get the wife's little scooter cleaned up and running again (hasn't been registered for a couple of years due to pregnancies and newborn babies) Got a couple of pics of it next to my S40 http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2010/06/12/bikepics-1996379-full.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2010/06/12/bikepics-1996381-full.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2010/06/12/bikepics-1996383-full.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2010/06/12/bikepics-1996384-full.jpg Must have been quite a sight when I rode this back and forth to my last job occasionally :o Luckily I rode before most of the traffic and it was only about 2 miles each way 8-) |

I don't think the scooter could handle it, and the time on the S40 is about the only time I get to spend without the kids, which is VERY limited (less than 100 miles yet this year! :( ) |

It is the current fleet, but the pink one has to go :( it's a 2003 and only has 650miles on it. Only good for slightly better than 30mph in town, and living on a hill is not much fun on that little thing :o |
Title: Re: Big Brother and Little Sister :) Post by justin_o_guy2 on 06/13/10 at 08:57:03 Thats got to be the biggest compact Ive ever seen a woman carry. Cool that it matches the bike. Must have one BIGGO applicator pad in it. We had a Honda 50 scooter about 15 years ago. It would run on up good enough for residential street traffic. IDK how it would handle a long hill, but I used to take it across a meadow & into an oilfield pipe yard w/ my kid on the back, which meant handling the load of me @ about 165 or so & a kid weighing around 40 & having to go up & down & across a low ditch & it never acted like it couldnt handle it. My buddy, all 6'7" & not a skinny boy rode it & it pulled him up to speed okay.( yea, it was a lot like watching the bear on the bicycle at the circus) All that said, I still wouldnt want to go out & mix w/ much traffic, simply because the small tires make even a small pothole very dangerous & lack of acceleration makes getting out of the way too hard to accomplish. People dont see full sized bikes, so being on something that small is almost like TRYing to hide from them. |
