I watched one of Nicky's first professional races, he was still a teenager. The last lap Nicky and Miquel Duhammel were neck and neck for first place. They bumped in the last turn. Miquel finished 1rst by his front tire. Miquel being the gentleman that he is stopped his bike and put Nicky on the back and rode Nicky around with him on the victory lap. Never will forget that, shows what a true sportsman Miquel Duhammel was, the old master paying homage to the up and coming young star.
