Yep, I am abandoning you. Sorry, I am a traitor.
After 2 Savages, I have moved to a XL1200L Harley Sportster.
Just sold "Lil' Sister" to a guy named Dan here on Maui.

I have really enjoyed your posts!
Big THANKS to Lancer for the help with the kit.
Thanks to all who contribute to this great site and helped me widen my knowledge about bikes and mechanical stuff.
Keep the Rubber Side Down!!!!!!!!!

Compared to the Savage, yes!
But remember, they weigh nothing while moving! ;D
200lbs more really helps in the heavy tradewinds.........

Lots of women riders here on island. Many ride big bikes.
I won't ride a bike unless my feet touch the ground! :D

Sportster will probably be my last bike... then when I'm too old to keep the rubber side up I will get a trike! ;D

We ride about 350 days a year here - and a little rain doesn't scare us. We call it Liquid Sunshine... it just cools you off.

Good luck with the new wheels. Moved to a bigger bike myself (c50) and will always have great things to say about the Savage/S40. The bigger bike is a natural progression as our needs change.
I still hang around here though. It's the best m/c forum I have come across.

Harley's arn't all bad.

My newest bike is a Harley 04 1200R sportster , I kept the Savage too. and guess which one get the most use. Me and Ls650 went for a two tank full ride today and the harley needs to have the rust rubbed off the front disks, mabby I'll take it out tommorrow, we're having our anual Bike ralley here in Lynchburg Tn this weekend.

I like the Harley's Hydrolic lifters and single carb. but that primary chain is the "fly" in the ointment. It seem to sing a little in 4th gear.
