Title: When I was 17 Post by klx650sm2002 on 08/01/10 at 10:20:52 I saw a Leverda Jota, the 180 degree crank three cyl 1000cc one not the later girlie 120 degree crank. I was so impressed, from that moment on I wanted to be a biker. http://motors-bay.com/img/Laverda/laverda001.jpg And the iconic engine. http://jtccc.co.uk/jota.jpg Clive W :) |

you brought a tear to my eye Mick I had to wait until I was 19, and they gave me an aluminum helicopter instead of a steel tank, guess they did not trust me with the heavy metal. |

Yes it was. I remember reading about it and thinking that very thing. most kids road 50's, 90's or 160's, and if you wanted a big bike you got a 250 or omg a 350. the 650's did rule the road, then Norton started making the really big 750, then the 850! Of course Harley had the hulking 883 sportster and the monsterous 1200, but they were always overkill anyway. |
