The upright cylinder supercharges the horizontal one.

I read a few years back about a 3 cylinder diesel where one smaller cylinder compressed air for two larger ones. I don't think it had been built yet but was designed to develop an enormous amount of boost.

DUCATI ,italiano,beautifull,art on wheels,as far as I'm concerned the best bike ever made,being English I have a love for Nortons,AJS,Arials,
triumphs were ok,but they never did handle worth a sh1t.England could make the best singles in the world.They took a nap and look what happened,Mr Honda made bikes more accesable and more desirable by the simple saying "You meet the nicest people on a honda".
