Left side, I guess, rear of the engine. Facing the starboard side of the bike, the one the cam chain is in, the left cam chain guide. Looks like it broke when the engine "sudden stopped" with the clutch throwout lodged in a gear.No gear marks visible on the part that fell down & was laying on the crank gear, so, it must nothave run with it there, so, it broke right after the clutch throwout broke.

would have to gather them together and pick the better of the 2

You are too late.  I just gave away a matched set while cleaning out my garage.

So, 55 for the part, 18 for freight its a tad over 73 bux. So, I called the shop I like & itll cost about the exact same thing, after`tax, there. So, Ill drive across town to give them some bizniss.
