CAST IS OFF....Dr, removed it today.. HOORAYYYY... I am back into the brace with the thumb splint. I have to wear this for at least 5 weeks. However it is removeable. Dr said it can be removed for showers only..
I am exhillerated to be out of the cast.
This has been a long process yet at next Dr. visit he is hoping to release me for good!!!!
Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers.. I am getting closer to being back on 2 wheels... ;) :) :) :)

Congratulations Kimchris! I know how you feel as my daughter also got her cast off today. She'll still have to wear the ortho boot until Dr. says different but No more crutches! Will have your spirit over for our little celebration tonight! ;D

Mick, I am hoping to be back on Genie sometime soon. My next Dr appt is Oct 8.. So will know more then. At least this is a step in the right direction..
Get your hand healed so we can meet and do a ride together..

Sorry if I mislead anyone on the title of this thread. I was and still am sooo excited to be free of the cast.
As for an adventure in a boat? well no, my next adventure will be with 4 wheels at least for the next few weeks.
Then am hoping to be able to post about my new adventures in many ways.. ;) kim

Excellent news! You'll be back in the saddle in no time! (You know you're going through riding withdrawal when you find yourself leaning into curves when you're driving your car!)

Oh yes Southpaw, I understand where your coming from. I have found myself leaning into the curve while driving my cage.
I think O boy I really need to get back in the saddle. I have told a few, once I get back in the saddle, I am not getting back out except for refueling and rest.. ; kim
